Wonderful article and summary. Thanks for writing this and being there. MSM's framing was, once again, despicable. The self-titled 'March to Save New Zealand' was never called that, but referred to as the 'Destiny Church-affiliated protest' and no-one was allowed to know what it was really about... [Because that would be giving them oxygen and amplifying their message, and they have guidance sitting on their desk to never do that]. Whereas the "caring people’s omni-cause" (!!) was provided their full [various] titles, their purposes were revealed and they were given nice adjectives such as diverse, community, peaceful, solidarity. Balance would have required it to be named similarly: the "Sikh-affiliated", "Hamas-affiliated" and "Eru Kapa-Kingi-affiliated" protest convergence. And criticised in the same way they criticised the Parliament protest - "muddled messaging".

I used to believe all the bad things that the MSM told us about Brian Tamaki, and some of them may be true, but when covid came he and Hannah were for a long time the ONLY people in New Zealand public life who stood up against Old Horse Face's authoritarianism. (My bad, it's Dame Horse Face, and don't you forget it). At which point I began to listen to what he had to say, and, I have to say, sometimes he says things that sound really stupid to me (gay people causing earthquakes etc), and sometimes he talks a lot of sense when no one else is willing to do so.
