Of course, a Green MP spoke; now that most Green parties around the world have abandoned championing the environment in favor of promoting the most climate unfriendly lifestyle on the planet, they have to go somewhere to give speeches, don't they? Single use plastic supermarket bags are evil, but the many kilos of plastic surgical waste needed to maintain a synthetically sexed population is to be overlooked so as to not make these narcissists feel any sort of responsibility towards creating their very large, personal climate footprint.

What I fail to understand is why anyone thinks it's being kind to children to take away any possibility of coming to terms with the reality of their sexed bodies as they are; that telling them that they are faulty is acceptable? https://lucyleader.substack.com/p/removing-the-possibility-of-normal

I can't believe I used to vote for those people. Though, in fairness to myself, they weren't those people back in the days of Rod and Jeannette, and they didn't believe in those stupid hateful things.

Yvonne van Dongen's avatar

Guilty as charged. Never again.

The Green Parties around the world were the easiest to infiltrate because they tended to be 'progressive' and libertarian. But the cult is inside many political parties and institutions, of course.

Words fail me. Yvonne, you deserve a medal for attending this.

Lucky I went with a mate. Fun to exchange sneaky barbs while insanity reigned around us.

The excessive (childish) consideration for the special needs of the trans activists was evident at the LAVA hearing too. Pride told its followers that the court had lift access, water, and a time out room if needed. No such assurances were needed for the tough old lesbian supporters!

We’re cut from a different cloth, and they don’t understand that, one of the reasons they are ultimately doomed to eventual failure.

It would be funny if it were not so damn sad. Unhappy, unhealthy-looking people united only by their common delusion and pain. The Ungays, perhaps.

Yvonne van Dongen's avatar

Really sad. Esp given most of them would have been gay if left to go through puberty. This is the most homophobic and misogynist movement in years.

KenInNZ's avatar

Both hilarious and horrific. Thanks Yvonne.

Cripes - what a pack of liabilities. I'm gasping for 'normal' - thank goodness you spotted some amongst that wilderness to give us hope.

Yvonne van Dongen's avatar

They’re self limiting as a group. Chances of reproducing slim. That’s a plus.

Gay J's avatar

Great piece Yvonne. As you say, it would be funny if it wasn't so sad. But thanks for taking it for the team!

Yvonne van Dongen's avatar

What else can do but laugh?

Yep. Those are my children. That's what a feminist mother will produce in the 21st century. Online promotion of anti-feminism, mother blaming, no contact child estrangement and fat activism all have a lot to answer for in the rise of the Pride Piper and global transmafia. No grands for us, methinks.

Yvonne van Dongen's avatar

Me neither though different reasons. Disappointing as hell.

Terf vibes's avatar

Sorry to hear that Yvonne. There's not much we can count on these days, other than betrayal, corruption and TRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANS.

It’s the lamest youth movement ever - literally lame too as you say, with the walking sticks and wheelchairs proliferating for reasons unclear. Also not really a youth movement as it’s firmly approved of and driven by the establishment.

I’m ambivalent about commenting on appearances, although trans activists are always extremely sexist and ageist toward “terfs”. But, I can’t help comparing them with us lot at the same age - those of us who were activists and feminists. Let’s just say I wouldn’t trade places and after all, it appears their joints are as fcked as ours anyway🤣

I know. I am famously superficial and unkind. Also it was hard not to notice the unloveliness of this group esp if you are as superficial and unkind as I am.

Good on taking one from the team, venturing out into the foray. Sounds pretty gruesome. I saw the clip the video clip the Herald published which revealed what you had said. They are do all identify as victims and being disabled i think and its a way of getting attention but they just make me feel ill.

Yvonne van Dongen's avatar

Yes, they have a multitude of ailments. How much is due to the medication and how much is imagined is impossible to say but they are not a well bunch. Hardly inspiring.

Daniel Howard James's avatar

'Transabled' and 'queer crip' are things. It starts with a walking cane, then progresses to a mobility scooter, then an electric wheelchair, then being housebound.

Yvonne van Dongen's avatar

Crikey, that’s disturbing. Performative mental illness. Jeepers.

You are one of my favourite writers on this subject. Articulate, humorous & deftly on point. Thank you.

Yvonne van Dongen's avatar

You are now my favourite reader. Smart and appreciative. Even when I'm unkind.

Bravo! I'm surprised you weren't assaulted for taking photos.

Fortunately I just look like a harmless old bint. I forgot to add that we saw to our right, two police marching a young man in handcuffs out of the area. We were led to believe this was some sort of counter protester but who would go there and protest on their lonesome?

Lucy Leader's avatar

Hey Yvonne, didn't I read somewhere about NZ that your old "ciswomen" delight in going around bashing up virile young men? You and your friend might have posed some real danger by going along for a nosey!

Yvonne van Dongen's avatar

Old bints are notoriously lethal. Is why they call us hags and crones.

Persephone's avatar

All power to the crones! Ancient wisdom, blah blah blah.

Aroha's avatar

"Harmless old bint" indeed!

"Actually there was a noticeable number of young people with walking sticks..." These puberty blocked young people will likely face permanently damaged and painful bodies. What a terrible "treatment" for their ordinary, human, messy development and the inevitable difficulties of growing up and being alive.

A detransitioner's testimony... https://x.com/TTExulansic “A decade ago, when I was on the hormone combination that suppressed the end of my puberty, causing multiple growth plate injuries, I remember leaning on my left arm like I had so many times before. Only I felt something different. Like it had somehow cracked. I then couldn't put weight on it in certain positions, though I could still move the arm. It hurt deep and like nothing I had felt except when I fractured my right elbow at age 6. I sought medical attention. I was not given any imaging. I was prescribed muscle relaxers and told to take a break from typing so much. Years later, I found out that because the hormones had weakened the growth plate so much, the structure had sort of collapsed, which cut off blood supply to part of the bone. I had experienced a bone infarction. Avascular necrosis. Part of the bone lost blood supply from the growth plate shift/collapse. So that part of the bone died. I felt a part of my arm die. That area of bone is still dead and scarred. They finally gave me an Xray in September of this year, where it is visible. They admitted my injury after years of blaming me and saying if it had broken, it would bruise and swell. The location of the scar on imaging and my records indicated it occurred before the growth plate hardened in my more sinister funny bone. They know the hormones affect growth plate closure - that was a specific goal of @JonniSkinner's doctor to use hormones to accelerate closure - but they never educated me about these risks, so I was not able to recognize what was happening at the time. They didn't educate me in order to increase their chance to wait out the clock on litigation. Now I live with the pain of essentially partially melted bones, though it's better than it was now that I had the major load bearing joint repaired. There needs to be a greater recognition of the harms of late puberty suppression, not just Tanner 2, as well as induced menopause in a premenopausal woman even after puberty.”

Yvonne van Dongen's avatar

Heart breaking. Those drugs, the medical profession, the enablers - that’s who are truly unkind.

Persephone's avatar

Walking sticks at their age: you're breaking my heart. That is definitely the effect of wrong-sex hormones. Amazing how hard and fast it happens (and god only knows whether or not it can be reversed).

Daniel Howard James's avatar

It's also performative disability; they identify as sick. Of course the more time they spend indoors and online, the worse their health becomes.

Brilliantly written, hilarious description of 'protesters', Bravo!!!!
