The NZ NGO/charities sector has grown in the past 10 years or so at the same pace as the overall economy, which arguably means it’s not solving anything and/or finds new “problems” to solve - and is pretty much established as just another career path for humanities graduates.

As for the government-funded genderists, the machiavellian, gaslighting antics and the useful idiots throughout the establishment are disgusting and dangerous. We are on the back foot, our opponents are all through the establishment with hands on its levers, and paid through government largesse. We are accused of being in the minority when many women especially younger women are unable to voice their concerns (especially if employed by the state). We are accused of having shady funding sources when it’s ordinary women reaching into our own pockets. Meanwhile our opponents are latched onto and all through the state including state funded media. As for the Apothistoll Paul gender zealot, he may have deleted the post but I have the screen shot, he has stated that he wants to make being publicly gender critical illegal and will party when the first GC is jailed. In spite of his extreme authoritarian fanaticism (because he transd his own kid) he has the ear, allegedly, of some MPs.

Bloody good you saved that comment. The state-funded largesse of such an evil ideology is both terrifying and infuriating. Knowing all this isn’t good for my mental health!

It makes me feel down at times but I reframe it as an intellectual challenge - the dissection of these “interesting times”. Reading, writing, conversations I’ve had with those willing to engage - it’s sharpened my critical thinking skills and Ive learned so much about politics, society, human nature.

I’d rather be a heterodox thinker who’s capable of going against the zeitgeist, than a weak-minded conformist. Also I’ve met great people through it and they are more interesting, thoughtful, emotionally stable and fun to be around than wokesters.

I am worried about the future but at the same time it’s quite something to observe what’s going down right now.

You’re right of course. I had a wider circle of friends pre-trans but post-trans my eyes have opened to so many things I had previously taken for granted. It’s good to wake up to reality eventually I guess. Just disappointing learning how many friendships relied on us sharing the same views. My circle was not nearly as tolerant as we thought we were and I’m sure that included me at one time.

Yes - I cringe to recall my reflexively Leftist days, and the sulks and upsets when someone disagreed with me about my many “good” and “correct” views that all smart people adhered to 😅 I’ve changed my mind on some topics and on others I am happy to say I don’t know.

Excellent commentary. Note there were several women assaulted at Albert Park but only one conviction. Other violent perpetrators could not be identified.

Good point. I’ll alter that later. Thank you.

Yes, IMO the police were a disgrace in that situation, and I still don't understand why someone was not held accountable for them not doing the job we expect (and as taxpayers, fund the police to do)

I believe I correctly remembering that a mob of several thousand mainly young adults claimed that a couple of hundred middle aged/older women were a "danger" to them at Albert Park? Egged on not just by that loser import Lal, but by taxpayer funded MPs? Not to mention the police who refused to do their job, even when multiple emergency calls were made by panicked old women who were, with good reason afraid for their lives.

But somehow it was the "rainbow community" (sic) who were the victims.

The media reporting of this was shockingly inaccurate and biased.

My head really spins with the amount of corruption and twisted thinking I read about everyday. It requires a hardy stomach - and like Pirate hag I am worried about the future. But I agree I also have so many more interesting, thoughtful and emotionally real people in my life now, since seeing through the veil.

Thanks Yvonne. Anyone know what Kate Hannah's doing now? She's near the head of the queue of people I'd like to take out and shoot.

Yvonne van Dongen's avatar

No idea. I’d love to think she was sitting idle at home but I wouldn’t be surprised if she has found another sinecure.

Aroha's avatar

I'm sure she has.

Oh Aroha…. That’s such hatey speech. You may end up in a cell for that… even if it’s a most noble goal.

Nice one Yvonne. Two points from Boris. 1. The grift of left wing charitable causes is wasting a shit ton of money. Most of them total scams. BLM, trans or indigenous anything, all BS. And 2. The bogey of right wing nastiness. Sure, all Neonazis are fuckwits. But when is the last time you saw a skinhead drive their car into a Christmas Market? The likes of Tarrant & Breivik were clearly nutjobs but by far the exception. The real threat lies elsewhere…

Agree. That's why I raised the vexed question of the growing Muslim population in NZ. I see that as far more sinister than people realise and I'm sure the gormless left will cleave to them, seeing them as victims. Simply talking about this now is still verboten. There's a lot of work to do before we can face this threat honestly.
