If you feel squeamish whenever some gender woo cult member tries to lecture you about "intersectionality", read Lawford-Smith's book. She explains very clearly why this insidious word actually means "women's needs will never be first" and why there will always be another group found more worthy than us with a problem to solve.
"Intersectionality" is another code word for "misogyny acceptable here".
Regarding George, the former whore/sex clown, it's 'he'. Check his gurning simpering performance with Malice Snedden on 'TERFs' - he is replete with self-satisfaction and his autogynesmirk is in evidence on his giant tranny man-face.
As I said on my previous post, HLS is Managerial Class Gender Crit. No thanks.
Haha, I wouldn't expect you to give Beyer the thumbs up Rex. You're a tough audience. But I'll look that Snedden ep up. I'd forgotten about that ghastly show. Beyer is undoubtedly flawed - being trans is a mental illness after all - but she didn't appear to be a trans ally. Thanks for the heads up.
Aaaargh, just checked and you're right Rex. On that Alice Snedden show Beyer talked about not liking the hate in the trans debate and then referred to Megan Murphy! Okay so she's def not a TERF but I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have protested Posie speaking or been happy that the protestors used her image. She was trying to tiptoe around the issue without coming out completely in favour of women. Well, she was a man but still I think not a TRAs ally.
I think Holly L-S was right about Khelif. Khelif has XY chromosomes and alpha reductase syndrome meaning he was born with ambiguous external genitalia but testes and male reproductive organs. He grew up believing he was a woman and submitted an objection to the IBA's tests that had revealed he was a man. I believe it was only in March 2023 when he received the results of an MRI and blood test that confirmed his male reproductive organs that he understood he was not a woman. I believe it's wrong to say he's trans.
The French clinic advised the subject to seek surgery and other medications to align his body (as if!) with his view of himself. I believe he hasn't done that and now lives as a man. His trainer revealed that after the IBA results were confirmed, he trained against males, not females in the Algerian team. The way he was treated at Paris indicate that he and his team all knew he was male and he almost certainly decided against surgery etc to make him a simulacrum of a woman.
The fact that Khelif never wore a hijab and was carried on teammates shoulders despite hailing from deeply conservative Afghanistan told me he and all in his team knew he was male. He’s not trans. Just a cheat using trans as a camouflage.
This is great, Yvonne. Thanks. "In an interview with me before her death, she told me she thought 'some of them should pull their heads in.'" Do you mean an interview with you? If so, or regardless, I would be keen to include some of this background on Beyer, the world's first 'trans' MP, in your piece for the anthology. Beyer, I guess, was a kind of Trogan Horse for the trans movement in NZ (the world?), but I too saw a video of him expressing real anger at the modern TRAs for 'playing the victim', I think was how he put it, and he seemed genuinely wild with all their demands and complaining. However, I think it was Jill who reported that he initiated the sex self-ID discussion in Parliament, so that's a big mark against him. In the RNZ Alice Sneddon (who I know from the comedy circuit) video doc episode 'Fuck Terfs!' (I think it was called), that Rex referred to, and that was so bad I and many other gc women wrote strong letters of complaint to RNZ for, Beyer attempted to correct Sneddon in her fierce condemnation of the women who were 'ruining feminism' and didn't want him to use their loos, to express some understanding for women's perspective. But Sneddon cut her off and shut her down (Sneddon has had a rethink on the matter since then, it seems). So Beyer's legacy is a a bit messy. As for Holly, I loved almost every word of analysis in her book, thinking it outlined pretty much exactly my feminism in and beyond this fight. But then she expressed opposition to the Terf critique of Khelif, saying it wasn't about trans and we couldn't know he wasn't a girl, and I lost some respect for her. Still, she's an asset to the cause on balance, I'd still say.
Oh I didn't know that about Holly L-S. That is disappointing. I can only hope she's had a rethink. I didn't realise Sneddon has had a rethink. Are her altered views available for public consumption? Bad News was appalling. Also I remember her filming us going into a SUFW meeting one time (the one in Western Springs) as if we were some kind of threat to civilisation. I find her insufferably smug. Yes Beyer's views (like Holly L-S) are curate's egg but she wasn't a trans ally. I wonder if she was trying to tiptoe around thing so she didn't lose her entire support system. Did you want me to add some words about Beyer in my piece for the anthology?
YES to the AP anthology question, particularly if you knew Beyer and can quote what he/she said about modern trans. But even if not, given his status as the first trans MP globally, and those images we have showing his face and name being held up in support of trans tyrants at AP - images we might use - I would say you could usefully add a paragraph or more about this connection and appropriation of a genuine trans pioneer and basically decent person, kind of New Zealand's Caitlin Jenner and the UK's Debbie Hayton. Australia has a golfing trans (MTF) who is not a total arse. Yes, that's right, Bad News was the RNZ Sneddon series. Not long after that, in a subsequent series I think it was, she admitted having made certain mistakes regarding previous shows and I read between the lines that she meant trans. That show was appalling. She was kind of a half decent feminist on the comedy circuit and comes from super liberal and high-brow Ponsonby folk, and at her best, is extremely clever and funny. She stood up to Don Brash on race relations once and got the better of him - on air. That was another series I think. Not sure.
I didn’t ‘know’ Beyer but we spoke by phone. I think I rang first about Brierley but we got on to the trans issue. That’s my only memory I’m afraid but I’ll insert something about the way the protestors blindly used her image, without knowing anything about her.

That’s such a good point. Thank you.

By calling that man she/her, you're catering to the cult.
You've just agreed that some men can be called she/her. No ta.
All men are men.
LoL she also steals other women's work and pretends she didn't.
She also platforms transvestites (one I know of, she spoke to a tranny golfer about his struggles).
She also had a chat about penetrative sex and how awful it was - you're a lesbian, stay in your fucking lane.
No fangirling from me. I know the woman whose work she stole, then ostracised. Fuck her. And she's well known, mate.

What did Holly do that you’re critical of?
I think Holly L-S was right about Khelif. Khelif has XY chromosomes and alpha reductase syndrome meaning he was born with ambiguous external genitalia but testes and male reproductive organs. Holly Lawford-Smith deserves your accolade.
The fact that Khelif never wore a hijab and was carried on teammates shoulders despite hailing from deeply conservative Afghanistan told me he and all in his team knew he was male. He’s not trans. Just a cheat using trans as a camouflage.
I said above, Yvonne - she stole work, didn't credit the author, ostracised her.
Talks to trannys. The master's tools will never dismantle the master's house.
Has held forth on hetero sex - like SHE'D know.
Denies it all - I have no truck with the MCGC: Managerial Class Gender Criticals. Too busy rubbing shoulders with the transvestites.
Call him she on your own time, mate.
In language, law and health, can't be calling cockfrockers she/her. He was a tranny. The End.
I'm right about Holly Lawford-Cunt as well.

Great!. Both details would be good :)
