Thistoll, who is dating a man who claims to be a woman, is the father of de Bres “trans” child and has publicly said (on an unrelated fundraiser) the child has osteogenesis imperfecta. So part of the zealotry motivating those 2 (apart from grift & alignment with high status / establishment beliefs) may be due to the cognitive dissonance that comes from promoting medication - “puberty blockers” - which impacts children’s bone density.

De Bres is a straight woman who a few years ago started claiming to be bi.

Thistoll while a hilarious boasting loon shouldn’t be underestimated, he seems to have a lot of time & energy to follow his zealotry and claims to have the ear of Labour higher ups. We mustn’t be complacent about his stated desire to use lawfare and to make it illegal to be publicly gender critical. And, even without hate speech laws, the civil service incl Police in NZ is so captured we are on the path to speech controls and compelled speech anyway.

Also - Thistoll is also one of a number of “progressive” authoritarians who have successfully weaponised professional associations/bodies to attack ideological opponents. As we know, professional assns (and unions) are captured.

Ex intel. Thank you. You're right to warn us about the risks we face re free speech. From where I sit, it feels like the battle is won if only someone would just do something about it at govt level but I forget how many woeful, low IQ people infest the public service, unions and professional associations.

He’s a disgusting cuttlefish, Mr Fistful-o-Dildoes. Pervert AND zealot. Quite the wall-eyed combo, he’s started to encourage trannys to take HDCA bc he has been told it’ll be a cold day in hell before he can bring another (I’ve heard). Disgusting beta and dangerous.

Is that due to their transing of the child or does the child have it anyway? Only be compounded by the off label drugs used to stunt puberty….

Spicy straights all want a piece of the TQ+LMNOP train ride. Boring fuckers with terrible haircuts and dishrag personalities.

Veale wants ‘eunuch’ to be a ‘gender’. Disgusting tranny manpig.

Haha, no one does abuse better. Not surprised Veale wants eunuch to be. gender. What about MAPs? They'll be next courtesy someone like Bussy. I should have put him and Emily Writes on my list. Nothing worse than people like Thistoll and de Bres who use their own child as a status marker even if it means irreversibly damaging them.

When his child was quite small and still referred to as a boy, Thistoll publicly mentioned the bone condition. In later years the child was referred to as “they” and lately as a “daughter”.

I make it my business to find out about the local authoritarians - genderborgs and other woke zealots. I deeply resent what they’re doing, I am furious about this cultural and political moment, and I’m extremely concerned about the direction of travel. I want to avoid these people socially and professionally, and I want to undermine their political and cultural goals in any way I can.

They are all Cluster B personality spotlight-chasers, social media braggarts and blabbermouths so 99% of what I find out is available online. The rest is NZ’s trusty less-than-six-degrees of separation.

Thistoll, de Bres and the hapless brittle-boned offspring are in Wellington. Not sure about the others on the list, Lal is/was working for the Greens though in a role that’s normally based in Parliament so may be although I haven’t seen him around the traps lately.

Wellington is terrible with central & local govt and the civil service all captured.

What a list of users and grifters. You missed mentioning one of Jaimie Veale's best buds, George Parker who is a total disgrace to the midwifery profession.

Clearly this crowd is playing to their audience because they don't seem inclined to speak out against corporations such as Fertility Associates. You know, those clinics that shows their transphobia with every IVF procedure they perform since they insist they need to use one female egg and one male sperm to make new humans. Why can't they just use the chosen gametes of the prospective parents I ask you? How are nonbinary people supposed to cope with this example of total erasure? 😁

Well done Yvonne and all so true. I'm puzzled because the Marsden fund was supposed to be stopped for Social Sciences and psychology is a Social Science. Judith Collins announced that to much uproar the other year. I think its time some University depts/ subjects were disestablished. Linguistics was originally the study of the evolution of and links between ancient languages. How the hell its morphed into the nuttiness of the Julia de Bres crap is beyond me. Its interesting that while Auckland is ranked 65th in the world (and starting to clean up from its wokeness) that Otago, which used to be close behind has slid down the rankings to 195th under the Robertson vice chancellorship and Massey sits at 230 (academic rating barely 40%)in the Top University rankings and brays that it is third in NZ despite most Chinese, Asian, some African, Indian and the marjority of Australian universities ranking far above them. I don't even need to mention Europe and America. Waikato (281) of course is even worse. Wokeness destroys intellectual curiosity and academic research. It needs to be gone.

I think the de Bres payout courtesy Marsden came in 2022 and was intended for the next three years. i'm hoping the next round of funding won't include such largesse for such deranged projects.

interestingly the university of Massey where Veale got his PHD ranks 301 out of 500 internationally with an academic reputation of only 55 and the Uni of Waikato ranks the same with an academic reputation of 61 slightly better, whereas Auckland is ranked 51st equal in the world for psychology and as for Masseys Linguistics dept, it doesn't rank at all. Auckland is 56th in world rankings Canterbury 85th, Otago 301 a whole 100 below Cairo at 201. The message is clear, go woke and lose your academic ranking because the research is so very bad.

The LGBs have never used the term queer since so many were subjected to queer bashing in the old days, particularly boys. The term is generally loathed among the real community, not the alphabet soup braindead add ons. They need to grow up and get a life. Utterly narcissistic. There are so many more important crises on the planet needing attention right now and which pronoun makes you feel uncomfortable isn't one of them.

Problem is, those of us still teaching, even part time can see that what's happening in state secondary schools (and in intermediate and primary) even the integrated ones, the MOE, NZQA, the Teachers Council and the unions are driving this nonsense. For most teachers (and those who disagree are a silent terrified marjority) it's like having a juggernaught bearing down with no way to get out of the way. The risk of job loss is very real. Some, who are at the endpoint of our careers, don't care and are speaking up anyway. However it would only take one complaint to the Teachers council to lose your registration, and there are enough woke fanatical young teachers around to do it. This applies not only to the Identity politics but to the extreme treaty stuff. You cannot get registration unless you agree to every woke ideaology that is currently in vogue with the very much captured government departments. Nobody is quite sure how this nonsense came to take over to the extant it has but I do think maybe tomorrows schools and NZQA at least partly enabled it. If I was to become, by some strange circumstance, incredibly wealthy, I'd start a completely private school running only Bacclaureate and/or Cambridge with a very tight curriculum to keep the nonsense out. I feel sorry for parents trying to find a good school for their kids where the focus is actually on a decent relevant education. Most people probably don't realise that there are already trans teachers of both sexes working in both Primary and Secondary schools and of course flying the flag.

Blimey, that really is an eye-opener. Thank you for reporting from the coal face. Most of us have no idea how bad it is out there. I do agree that gender is packaged up with treaty concerns to become a kind of omnicause. I guess pro-Palestine is in there as well. If you're on the left, you're obliged to sign up for a myriad of causes or your membership of the elite caring club will be revoked. I suspect this ideological monoculture is in part behind the rise of parents willing to home school. I always thought that was an option for martyrs and the paranoid only, but now I see home schooling as a smart, viable alternative to the indoctrination in schools.

I have had younger teachers say to me that it's a relief to be able to speak freely after I have expressed my views and they know where I stand. It reminds me of the rise of both Nazism and Communism (two sides of the same coin), where the silencing of dissent through fear led to greater and greater excesses until the most extreme and perverted brutalisation of other humans occurred. When sanity prevailed no one could understand how it had happened. Like all cults they have quietly and insidiously expanded bit by bit with more and more demands until no one dares question anything for fear of being cancelled.

The reaction of the young teachers gives me hope. At least they see what’s happening even if they don’t feel able to say anything. I agree with your assessment wholeheartedly. The group think is alarming. The only way to counter it, for those of us who can, is to speak out. Eventually others will feel join us. Since trans burst on the scene, I’ve become acutely aware of all the other issues we are not allowed to debate - anything Māori or treaty based, climate change, immigration and what happens when you allow people from vastly different cultures into your country, Islam.

I’ve now realized that the no debate topics are precisely the topics that desperately need to be debated. It’s great having a platform like this where like minds can gather and share ideas. Thanks for your input. Boy I’d love to write a story about what it’s like to be a teacher now.
